Oral Appliance

There are different types of oral appliances for the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Most of them slide the lower jaw and the base of the tongue forward. This action helps to open the airways and prevents the blockage and collapse of the upper airways.
It consists of two plates linked together by a mechanism which allows a gradual advancement of the lower jaw to the desired position.
Primarily, symptoms may include extra salivation, sore jaws, soar muscles or joints.
